though i agree with 'freckles like whoa' i must refute her argument!.

you don't necessarily need a deep plie!. though it is more preferable to!. you just have to know how to work with your body and create illusions and possibilities!. some people have longer tendons than others!. you might just have shorter tendons!. i know several former ballet dancers who have short tendons, yet jumped quite high (or created the illusion-i'm unsure of which at the moment)

let's see!.!.!.!. for grand jetes try bringing the leg battlement-ing up and out!. that way you follow your leg as you push!. and imagine jumping over a tall (and slightly wide)hill or hurdle!.just try not to jerk you body!.

for tour-jetes use your imagination to break it down!. and bring your arms down slowly, to create the illusion that you stay in the air longer!. (as if you are just floating and your arms tell you body how long to stay up in the air)

hope this helps!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You'll need a deep plies, but dont go so low that you lsoe the momentum!. For tour jete, you really have to start by getting great height when you throw the first leg and use that to turn yourself!. As fara s grand etes,it always helped me to think fo sliding a split out on a table, seriously!Www@QuestionHome@Com

make sure you push through your feet and not jump upand down on flat feetWww@QuestionHome@Com
