Question: Should I go solo or stay with my dance group!?
Well, we have a dance project due Friday, and we have had a little while to work on it, and we're still nowhere!. But it's really not my fault - I have worked so hard to come up with choregraphy for it, and when I showed it to them, they hated it, and made so many comments!. Not to be rude - but they shouldnt have said half the things they did say, when they really cant dance very well themselves!. I'm not a very good dancer myself, so coming from me, thats harsh!. I was thinking of just going solo, although they might get upset about me quitting so late in it!. But out of everyone I showed the routine to, they're the only ones who didnt like it, everyone else I showed the choreography to liked it, but they just laughed and made comments about how much it sucked, ect!. ect!. and when they tried to choreograph I was just embarrassed that I knew them, and we were the only 4 ppl even around!. We have nothing, and I'm sure I can come up with something on my own!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i would go solo but let them know first and maybe do both - do a solo and group dance with them!. it sounds tho like they dont care and maybe it would be better if you did your own thing!. talk to them and see how they respond!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
It really depends!. Tell them that you're really getting frushtraited and you feel like you're getting no where!. You should show them your coreography with music without them so they could see how it really looks!. If they still don't like it, tell them that you wanted to work with them, but you are doing all of this work without being appriciated!. If they still don't want to work hard, go solo! If I was you I would go solo You need to think about how you are going to look when you are on the stage!
If they get upset with you they can get over it,They don't really sound like your friends if they are saying rude things like that!
You have to think about it this way, Do you want to look good or bad on stage!?
If you choose to go solo don't be rude about it, talk to them and just say that it's not working out and you think that you can do your best when your by yourself!. Something like that but don't be rude about it the last thing you need is for them think your leaving them because your better( even if you are)
**If you do go solo you will be able to work on your dance and you don't have to stress out about something because not everyone like the song or the dance**

I would try to talk to your group first before quitting!. You should say " look guys we are getting no where and this is due on Friday, can't you try my plans!." If they still don't want to do it then try to come up with a plan together!. If that doesn't work go solo!. After all they didn't want to help you so why should you waste your time!. I agree I wouldn't want to embarrass myself on stage in front of my crush!. Don't get stressed out over something that you can fix!. After all you don't want to cause yourself to get too stressed or sick!. remember on stage we are all actors !!! If you act like you know what you are doing , then the crowd won't know the difference!.If you mess up act like it was part of your show!.remember you are there for fun!.
