Question: Question about ballroom Dance teams!?
I have a question,
There are colleges that have competitive ballroom dance teams right!? Well can you join those teams if you are not in college!? it's not that I am to old I am a sophomore in high school, so if it is a matter of working hard and having the time to do it then that is not a problem for me!.
so my questions are,
1!. Do you have to be in college to be on that schools dance team!?
2!. Is there an age limit!?
If I can't join there team,
can anyone tell me the best Ballroom studio in upstate NY!?
and I have already checked the dance websites and they only come up with studios that are in NYC

It depends on the team!. That in turn depend on the college policies regarding the teams!. My college team accepts non-students, especially if there are dancers on the team who they can potentially partner up with!. We have a couple of people from local high schools and we have a few people who recently finished college and now work in the area!. On the other hand, our rivals across the bay don't accept anyone who's not a student of their college and they kick out those who graduated too!.
I suggets you contact the local college teams and ask them about it!. But I think it's a very good idea if you do!. There is a strong collegiate dance community on the East Coast, I'm sure you can find something!.
