Question: Stretching!?!?!?
i need some tips on really good stretches i have just ended my 9 year and i still can't do my splits i know some ppl just can't do them but i really want to so anyone know good stretches that r good for getting ur splits thank u soo much im looking for a best answerWww@QuestionHome@Com

splits is easy, it is possible to be able to do the splits after just one week of doing all the right training, now splits can lead to many other different cool things like split leaps, legmounts etc!. so they are very important for a dancer to be able to do!.

now you have to be at a certain height of flexibility before you can start do you get what i mean!? it really depends on what type of splits but i would say right splits are the easiest!. before you can start trying to do the splits:

you know the butterfly stretch!?-put your left leg in the butterfly stretch and right leg straight ahead and touch your toes, if you can do this really easily and put your head to the ground and point your toes and lift your right heel slightly of the ground, your right leg is flexible enough(it is hard to explain this stretch but as a dancer you probably do it all the time for warm ups you know the one!? and you do it before pe class)
if you have not mastered thais stretch yet, all you have to do is do it as often as you can for as long as you can, time your self and try to beat the time, but dont push your self too hard, because you can snag a liggerment!. you will know if you are pushing too hard though!.

the left leg preparing for the right splits is a little harder though, its kind of the opposite strtech to the right leg;first:
sit on your knees, then lean forward and put your left leg straight to the back-so it would look like your doing the right splits with your right leg folded, then lean forward as far as you can with your arms stretched to the front, for as long as you can, you have mastered this stretch if you can hold your nose to the ground for 3 mins-also when ur doing this stretch put ur arms in the air and reach back to your toes-you should hear or fell your back crack, you have mastered this once you realise thart your back doesnt crack as much because it is more flexible!.

Just try 2 hold the splits as far as you can go for a really really long time!.
find the place thats preventing you to go down all the way and streach that ( it might b your hips, thighs, butt, etc!.!.!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

make sure you hold your stretchs for atleast a minute, 30 seconds for your muscles to relax and 30 for you to grow more flexibleWww@QuestionHome@Com
