Question: Ballet recital!!!! pointe shoe help!!!!?

ok well my recital is in 2 weeks and i have to put calamine lotion on my pointe shoes to keep them from shining on stage!. i calamined them last year and as soon as the shoes dried they got super soft!. this year i bought shoe makeup!. how do i apply it!? do i just use a cotton ball or a makeup sponge or just a tissue!? please help i dont want to mess up my shoes!. thanks =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

use a makeup sponge, It gives the most even coat!.
