Question: What surface can I practice tap dancing on!?
I just started taking tap lessons a few months ago and I really need to pratice!. I am the only beginner tapping with advanced tappers!. We have a show next month, we only have class once a week, and I need to practice!. Wheat can I tap on!? I cannot practice on the hardwood floors at home because I would scratch them and the garage is cement so I would ruin my shoes(plus there is no room there)!. Tiles are a no no as well, and rug would make no sense!. Is there anything I can buy!? All help is appreciated! Only serious answers please!Www@QuestionHome@Com

go to a local harware store and buy a piece of plywood as large or small as you like!. if you do not want to go out and buy something you can always practice your dance in tennis shoes!. the only problem with that is you can't hear your sounds!. hope this helps and have fun practicing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

go to your local flooring store and buy a few square feet of vinyl flooring or laminate (its not too expensive if you only buy the small amount that youll need) i would buy between 9 and 16 square feet (small enough to take up little space, but large enough to move around on)!.attach it to either a heavy piece of plywood or duct tape it to the concrete in your garage(so it doesnt move when you tap on it) hope this helps!
**also you could ask if you could have some free flooring, especially if the store is going out of business!. just be nice and smile!**Www@QuestionHome@Com

We have lino in our kitchen, which works!. also, a pair of shoes without taps but with a reasonably hard sole (i!.e!., not rubber) work fairly well - you could use those on the cement!. (Rubber will work a bit, but some steps stick and it's just not that great!.)

Hope your show goes wellWww@QuestionHome@Com
