Question: Im 30cm away from doing the splits, in dance terms is that good or bad!?
I have 5 weeks to do the splits properly im 30cm off the ground if i keep stretching every day do you think ill be able to do them!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Stretch a lot!. A good stretch is to take a phonebook or dictionary or go on like the first step on your stairs and put your front leg on it then go onto your splits!.!.!. it's like overextended, and hold it for 10 seconds with your hands on your head!. But make sure to do that last because it's like doing your splits and you never want to do that first!.
also, hold your middle splits for a long time, it will help!. Do lots of other stretches, and also practicing bridges and holding them for a little bit until you can't hold them stretches your back which may help you too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In dance terms that is excellent! Not because of the closeness to the floor! But because you are TRYING!. Anyone who tries their hardest have won half the battle!.

It really depneds on the individual as to how long it will take to learn the splits!. Just don't overdo it, and don't forget to warm up! HOPEFULLY you will be able to do the splits in 5 weeks, but it could take much longer, unfortunately!.!.!.

If you can't do them after 5 weeks, but are pretty close, you can try to do a really wide jazz split for whatever performance or whatever it is you need to do (bend your back leg a bit!.) But you will need to keep practising your splits in order to achieve them properly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have to be very limber to touch the floor completely when doing the splits!. It was easy for me because I was blessed with a very limber back as well!. Be careful!. If you have a ballet bar to practice on, stretch your legs on it!. You will feel some discomfort because you are stretching your muscles!. If it feels very painful, do not do it!. You don't see the splits done in many dance routines!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It took me one week to do the center splits & master them!. take a warm bath in the morning and after you get out stretch!. stretch at night as well!. by doing so, you will gradually increase your flexibility good luck! be careful not to overdo it you may pull a muscle, the splits are a gradual thing, not everyone is born flexible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

YOU CAN DO IT! it only took me 1 month to be able to do the side splits!. Just stretch everyday for 20-30 minutes while you are watching tv or something!. You will start to notice changes in your flexibility pretty fast if you keep stretching!. because you are only 30 cm!. away, you will probably be able to do the splits in 5 weeks!. yea that is good if you do the proper stretches to go wit hurt body and dont over stretch it cuz then ull not be able to stretch for a long timeWww@QuestionHome@Com
