How do you get noticed when you are dancing on stage?

Question: How do you get noticed when you are dancing on stage!?

i am an advanced dancer and i am trying to impress my teacher during our dance musical and i want to stick out from my friends!. i know that you are thinking!.!.!.if you are an advanced dancer, shouldnt you know!? but even i get caught up in the moment to please help!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd say smile, keep a smile but if it looks fake, you'll give the opposite effect!

Main thing, and best way to keep happy, is look like your actually enjoying it!. Yeah, be professional and do everything right, look good when your up there but when you are actually enjoying it, a smile should come naturally!.

Theres no use in a fake smile cause it looks fake obviously but like i said, enjoy it and a smile comes!. Then ya go about the dance in a professional manner and you'll impress anyone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know about on stage necessarily or in regarding getting the attention of an instructor, but!.!.!. I know when out dancing two things get a positive vibe going!. Either someone has a unique, sensual body movement that just reaches out and and grabs you sexually, or they emply a funny, joyful, playful set of moves that isn't so serious!. Sometimes that laughter and that sense of total uninhibited joy is what sets you apart!. Not taking yourself too seriously, if you can relax and just enjoy the moment might just do the trick!. know your dance so that you don't have to think about it!. Since you know your dance so well you can put emotion into it which is a necessity!.

The biggest thing that my teachers tell me to do when I need to be noticed is to smile!. I'm positive that if you are smiling and friendly you will be noticed and looked at more than the dancer who isn't!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, first you need to just do the dance the best you can!. also when you are dancing really get into the music, and flow with it!. That may sound strange but just try it!. also alot of teachers are looking for "energy"!. What that means is that they should be able to look at you and think what you are doing is effortless!. My coach taught me to stand out for everyone!. You have be having fun!. Smile, and do really good!. The judges speak into a tape (where i am from) and they tell you whats good and whats bad with the dance!. And my team got a comment (about me) saying its so hard to watch everyone else cause i am smileing, and having fun!. My coach says she does not care and she wants the judge to watch me, because i have been doing it the longest on my team, and i am on the most experianced team!. And Our team is not that experianced!. Thats why i also do solo,cause your the only one to look at!. I have been doing it 10 years now!. Just have fun!. Good Luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know what you mean, I am a dancer too!. You just have to do the moves better then the rest of the class, and prefect each move so it's better then everyone else's!. Practice a lot and before the musical go up to some one near your dance teacher and say soething like "Remember the arobesk is on beat 4 in the 2nd verse!. he/she will ntoice your smarts too!Www@QuestionHome@Com
