ive started bellydancing 6 weeks ago and my teacher thinks i would be better in advanced coz ive learned a good few moves quickly since i started and i really REALLY love it and cant stop dancing at home and would really love a few bellydancing songs to practice dancing to if any1 has any sugesstions thanks oh and also if any1 knows the name of that beautiful thing that wraps around ur waist with the layers of tinsely fringeWww@QuestionHome@Com

There are tons of lovely song that you can even download free in the internet in sharing groups of belly dancers!.

The hip scarf is called "Hezam" in Egypt that means "belt" (that's what an Egyptian friend told me!.)

I love songs that have several changes in rhythms (Arabian rhythms) generally called "classics" !. The Turkish music is very interesting as well!. I recommend Egyptian classics more than modern songs, i think is better to keep learning how the music is made and how it sounds!.

Ravel's 'Bolero' lasts 15 minutes, so you don't have to interrupt!. It's a very slow 3/4 time, so you can make quicker moves if you want to!.
