Want to move up to the next level next year.....?

Question:

I want to move up to the next level in dance for several reasons, but these are my main reasons:
1) I've been dancing for 10 years and want to be in the higher level, since I know everything we do in my classes!.
2) If I don't move up, this will be my FOURTH year in Level Four!.
I want to ask my dance teacher if I can move up, but I get corrected a lot, but not for the moves, it's more for simple technical things (my thumb has to be tucked in, I'm not crossing enough stuff like that)!. I want to be challenged next year, since I'm really bored in this class (we have to change this really cool fast move in my tap routine because most of the other girls in my class can't get it)!. Should I just ask my teacher if I need to improve on anything, what should I do!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think that you should talk to your dance teacher!. if you feel that you aren't tired at least once a week or aren't being challenged then you should be in a different class!. i get corrected a lot too!. most people do!. but the important thing!.!. do they compliment you!? not always because i know that one day my teachers like that was a really good pirouette then the next day shes like turn out turn out!!!
don't ask her what you can improve on!. just try extra extra hard!. if you notice that your thumb isn't in put it in! look for technical stuff that your teacher might correct!. remember ballet is all about technique!.
and tell your teacher that you know the tap routine and that you would like to be challenged!. you should definitely move up if the kids in your class are way littler than you or if someone who you think are not good enough for the next level are moving up!. but it is all about skill!. but i can tell that you think you are good enough and i'm pretty sure you do have skill!. be patient though!. you will move up soon!. you cannot stay in level 4 forever :]Www@QuestionHome@Com
