is there any way to make it more comfortable!.!.i know there will be pain and i love ballet!.!.but i need some tips!Www@QuestionHome@Com

1: don't overpad!. A common mistake with beginners is to think that the more padding you shove in your shoe the more comfortable you will be!. Not So!. A certain amount of padding is important and will be helpful, but too much is too much!. You toes should never feel squished, if they do you have too much padding and/or shoes that are too small!.

2: Pull up out of your shoes on pointe!. Think about your feet, ankles, legs, and back stretching upward!. As you engage these muscles, less stress will be put on your feet!.

3: The platform of your shoe should be flat on the ground when you are on pointe!. If not, your feet are too stiff and you need to stretch like crazy!. Once you are balancing on a flat platform, everything will be easier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can use padding if your studio allows it, but don't go too heavy!. Gel pads are for total whimps, and they actually make pointe harder because you can't feel the floor as well!. I started with Ouch Pouches, but then I moved on to just paper towels and now I just use tape!. Tape any blisters you get so they don't get worse!. Don't get pedicures where they exfoliate your feet because that wears the calluses down, making pointe more painful!.

The shoes will feel wierd at first, but you will get used to it, and they will soften up the more you wear them!. You can wet the top of the boxes (not the tip) where your bunion area is to soften that more, which not only makes pointe more comfortable but also lets you roll through your shoes more!.

Good luck, work hard, and have fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com

hmm, do you wear toe pads!? if you do you you can try switching kinds, having more or less "stuff" in your shoes may make a difference!. if you don't wear toe pads you should, you can even just wear some paper towels wrapped around your toes and it will help!. if you don't wear them because you're not allowed then there really isn't much you can do but just wait for your feet to get used to it!. pointe does hurt some no matter what you have in your shoes, but it shouldn't be unbearable!. if nothing changes after a while you should talk to your teacher and see about changing type of shoes!.

Ok, first off, you are not a ballerina!. You are a ballet dancer, because a ballerina in technical terms is a professional dancer, sorry had to get that off!. Now to the pain thing, yes there is a lot of pain!. Find the right toe pads or "ouch pouches", or lambs wool or something!. (I use lamb wool), this will decrease, but not fully eliminate, the pain!. Good luck =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wear toepads!! toepads are a thing from god i swear!. they make is soo much less painfull!. when i want thick ones I use gellows by pillows for pointe (i think), or just get some socks and cut off the foot and heel part so it just goes around your toes!. If you're already wearing toepad and its still super painful then you probably want to try a different shoe next time!. make sure you get fitted for you're first several pairs!. I had to get fitted for my first like 5 or6 pairs until i found one I like!. If your shoes are fitted right then you shouldn't get blisters or anything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

wear toe pads!. maybe spacers too!. if you just practice it gets easier!. it took me a few weeks to get used to it!. i would try them on at home and walk around, if you do that, make sure it is clean on the floor!. some people tape their toe nails with ace tape cuz her toes always hurt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wear ouch pouches: http://www!.adadance!.com/products/images/!.!.!.

And tape your toes, it really works!. Get some flesh colored tape and tape around each individual toe (or whatever is comfortable for you) and on the big toe tape over the top as well so it takes most of the pressure off!.

I hope this helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

toe pads!. even though people will act tough and not wear them, they are better for your feet!. if you feel stronger and want to try a few times without toepads, go for it, but try them!. they feel sooooo mcuh better than bare toes!Www@QuestionHome@Com
