It depends on how strict your studio is, as well as how strict your old one was!. If your old studio was not very professional but your new one is, then chances are that your new teacher is right!.

I would say to wait a little while longer and prove to your teacher that you're strong enough!. On your own time, you can do some exercises to strengthen your feet, ankles, and calves (like releves, and you can also buy a thera band to do some flexing and pointing)!.

After doing this, talk to your teacher again and tell her everything you've been doing to prepare for pointe!. She'll probably realize that you are capable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know you want to go on Pointe but you really do need your new teachers permission to commence Pointe!. He/She probably hasn't seen all of your dancing ability so he/she might change their minds when they see you dance more!. So I would keep that in mind if I was you!.

You really don't want to have an injury from starting Pointe too early because you might not ever get to do it again!.

I hope this helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

you definitely need a teacher's consent!. You could badly hurt yourself and could cause major injuries!. Please don't start pointe without a teacher!Www@QuestionHome@Com

listen to the tezcher who wnet to ABT and toured in NYC and stuff, not the teacher with no backroundWww@QuestionHome@Com

listern to ur new teacher!.!. coz they wont be completey happey if u start pointe without permission!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

listen to the teacher you have now because she probably knows what age and how strong your feet will have to beWww@QuestionHome@Com
