Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: They feel really stiff and awkward at first, it takes a while to get used to how hard they are!. The stronger your feet, ankles and legs are the less discomfort you will have!. Most dancers dont feel pain in their toes from holding up their weight if they have properly fitted shoes and learn how to engage their muscles correctly!. Blisters and bleeding usually come from the inside of the shoe rubbing against your skin!. Once you develop calluses the discomfort is much less!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It feels very awkward and strange at first but you do get used to it!. Make sure you tape your toes where you go on pointe; this will prevent any blisters and bleeding!. I used to get blisters all the time, since I started taping them, I haven't been getting any!. Just use flesh colored medical tape which you can get at any drug store!. Good Luck with pointe-its hard but very rewarding :)Www@QuestionHome@Com They are uncomfortable at first but u get used to them and like a few other ppl said your feet only bleed when u get blisters!. like what was already said get comfortable shoes and good pads!. another suggestion take ur new shoe and try breaking them in a little and they won't hurt as bad!. My advice is to get a pair of shoes that fit really good and to buy special foot cushions for your shoes if they are too uncomfortable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com My feet never bled en pointe!. It might take awhile to get the right combo fo shoe and pads!. When you're up, its more of an awkward feeling, obviously there can be a lot of pressure on the toes!.
