How do you remember En Dedans and En Dehors?

Question: How do you remember En Dedans and En Dehors!?

The kids I teach can't seem to remember, and my way of remembering is basically En Dedans is this way and En Dehors is the other way!. They don't get that though!. So if you were teaching 8-year-olds the difference, how would you make them remember!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

En dehor - out the door (its a little rhyme, and i doubt the kids will get confused if you use this rhyme)

The phrase "En Dedans", "dans" is the French word for "in"!.It literally means, "to the ins", which obviously translates poorly to English!.

When working with little ones I say En Dehors rhymes with open the door!.!.!.kinda!.!.!.so they think of going outside, like opening one way from the other leg!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd try to think of a rhyme or a song to help them remember!. I was taught to remember it as en dedans-"closing the door"
en dehOrs -"Opening the door"

You could try telling them that "En Dedans" means inside and "En Dohors" means outside!. These are just the translations, but some kids might get it if there was an English equivalent to the words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
