Question: What is Business Professional in terms of a Ballroom Dancing Studio!?

I recently got an internship to a Ballroom Dance Studio, and was told the dress was Business Professional with a mind on dancing!. What passes for Business Professional in a Dance Studio!? I don't think suits would be an option for a Dance Studio!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i work at a studio and i would suggest wearing a dress!. you don't have to go out and buy a brand new ballroom gown or a latin dress (both of which could cost upwards of $3000)!. just simply wear a dress, but not a business skirt!. something that flows, but isn't too short so that when you spin and turn, people don't see your bloomers!. think something you would wear to a formal dinner between knee and ankle length!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Are you going to be a dance teacher or a receptionist!? If you're a dance teacher - nice dance pants with a nice stretchy top would be good, or a dress made of stretchy fabric suitable for both styles would be good!. No pencil skirts or mini skirts!. Get something what they call "practice clothes"!. Try to get something stylish, not gym workout clothes!. I agree with Jason P!. I think a ballroom practice skirt or dress is what theyre wanting!. Something professional looking but is also free to move in!.

Yeah it depends on your role: if you are assisting a dance class: tidy practice gear and dance shoes!. If you are doing reception then I would just do tidy - probably more a skirt than trousers and maybe a jacket if sitting at a desk but you cant dance in one!
