Hi, good question and I'm happy to help!.

Going en pointe in jazz sneakers requires unbelievable strength in the ankles, arches, and toes!. The jazz sneakers don't really give you the support provided by pointe shoes, just because pointe shoes are specially made going up, while jazz sneakers aren't!. However, in the rare occasion where I didn't have my pointe shoes or didn't put them on to teach a class for some reason or another, I have demonstrated pointe techniques in my jazz sneakers!. It's difficult though and I wouldn't recommend it!.

Umm yeah you can go en releve en pointe on jazz shoes, but I wouldnt try dancing a piece from Swan Lake in them!. I have been in a couple of dances where the choreography called for a quick toe stand in my jazz shoes!. I probably woulnd try to turn like that though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

erm, you cant do ballet en point in jazz shoes, but you can put one foot up or do momentary toe stands a la micheal jackson!. the shoes doesnt give enough support to go en pointe for any longer than that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can do stands for choreography, but they dont have arches,a nd cant support you "en pointe" for long!. That is to say, dont use them like pointe shoesWww@QuestionHome@Com

phisically you can, but you really dont want to because you could hurt yourself!. But if you just go up for a short time, as in a dance move, then its probably okay!. They cant support your ankles and they can snap easily!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you have actual dance sneaker, look on the toe part!. if it has a flat edge then yes!. if not then don't try it!. i have actual dance sneakers and i do it all the time ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com
