I'm an Irish dancer and I can tell you that you will be fine!. My TCRG danced when she was prego with both of her girls! And they came out just fine!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Heck her oldest won the Under 8 SRO!. So as long as you feel normal and don't over do it then you should be good to go!. Oh yeah and one year we had an adult 8 hand team that went to the Oireachtas and 4 out of 8 were prego and they place 2nd!. Good Luck with dance and the baby!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had been dancing almost every type of dance from ballroom to breakdancing and everything in between!.

I suggest you put this dancing on hold!. Irish dancing involves a lot of jumping and a lot of shocks!. Irish dancing involves a lot of heavy tapping which sometimes doesn't stop for about 1 or 2 minutes!. You may have seen precision Irish dancing by seeing Riverdance or Lord of the Dance!. I had seen it!.

I am afraid that these shocks could put undue pressure on your fetus!.!.!.!.and if you already have labor pains, such dancing could worsen it!. Best to wait until the baby comes out before you dance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't see there being a problem, my teacher danced until 4 days before her due date and was doing tap, ballet (no plies or point, nor anything that required floor work or bending too low), modern (same as ballet) and jazz!.

If you're not sure you're best to check with your doctor, my teacher did and was told that she'd be fine as long as she followed the above directions, drank plenty, didn't over tire, made sure she didn't over heat, was careful and if there was any pain/problems stopped!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should be able to dance!. However, check with your doctor first!. You might not be able to do all the steps but at least can move and do the exercises!. Only you will know what you can and can't do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree, I have my own theory, but I think you should consult with your doctor first, since this is a little life we're talking about! Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
