Question: My daughter's solo is a mess!. Please help!?
Okay so I work at a dance studio where my oldest daughter who is 13 attends!. She is a very good dancer and this year earned herself a solo spot!. I was assigned to be her teacher in teaching a hip-hop/ jazz dance to Damaged by Danity Kane!. We got through about 1 minute out of 3 minutes!. When I got pregnant, of course I couldn't teach her anymore and the only person who could was a 19 year old in training (no one else was available) The 19 year old's moves and choreography is a mess!. My daughter hates it and I agree a lot of it doesn't look right and is just plain horrid!. What can I say or do!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unless the pregnancy is impeding your creative abilities, you should still be able to choreograph! Just because you can't show her the moves full-out doesn't mean you can't teach them to her!. I say get rid of the 19-year-old's choreography and fix it!. I know of women who danced through their 8th month of pregnancy (not difficult classes or anything) so I'm sure you can mark moves for her!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just because you can't physically coach her doesnt mean you can't coach at all!. I get the feeling that you want that poor 19 year to look bad so you can get some credit!. Try helping out the 19 year old and teach both her and your daughter!Www@QuestionHome@Com

uhm honestly a true dancer would tell her straight up lol!. i know that sounds mean but where im from, dancers are bitches and tell it like it is!.
good luck, im sure she'll do fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
