Position:Home>Dancing> Public schoolers?Question: Public schoolers!? is your school taking away art and band and stuff!?in CA i think they are!. I AM IN PRIVATE THAT OFFERS NOTHING,should i switch to the new school going up that will be ready my sophmore year and join the dance team or cheer team or should i stay at my private school and stay in the band that travles to other countries, i play flute and have danced for 6 years, not seriously, but recreationalWww@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: totally!. people are so insecure about public schools!. let me just tell you, private school are far worse than public!. private school students are more uneducated of common sense than kids in public schoolers!. public school arent even all that bad either!. its a sterotype among parents who sends their students to private school!. one school near my city alameda, had its extra-curricular activities taken away two months ago, yeah students had a walk out and protested, they were mad! all private schools focus on is you being smart, thats why they dont offer the things you want to do (dance, cheer, music)Www@QuestionHome@Com I live in Ca!.!.!.!. Central San Joaquin Valley!. Thankfully, they have not cut back any of the music departments here in our district!. (We have the oldest marching band in the state!.) I think the community is too much behind the music programs here to let that happen!. But if music is something that you want to do !.!.!. I mean REALLY want to do then go where the music is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com well to answer your first question, my school has good art, band, and drama programs, although we're completely lacking any form of a dance program!. for the rest of your question: well it depends on what's more important to you, band or dance!? if it's band, you should stay where you are because it sounds like you get amazing opportunities with that such as traveling to other countries to perform!. if dance is more important, you should consider switching to public school i suppose!. you should check out all your options before making a decision though!. is there a band program at the public school!? is there a dance studio near your private one!? is the public school good academically!? are you sure you really wanna change school purely for activity based reasons!? are you okay with leaving your friends!? are your parents okay with you leaving private school!? all these things should be considered before you make a decision!. be sure to make the decision that's right for you though!. best of luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com |
