Of course not!!

Anyone can start dancing from any age, theres a 50 year old lady at my dance studios!.!. shes starting pointe!

You dont need to worry about learning any positions beforehand coz you'll learn on ur first week!.!. after a couple of weeks or so!.!. you'll be so used to positions that you'll be able to do it anytime anywere, without thinking!.!. it'll basically become your whole life if ur going to take ballet seriously!.!.
!.!. everything relates back to positions!.!.
After a couple of months or so!.!. your teacher will call out any position and ur going to have to straight away follow them!.!.

Wait! I hope im not scary you :o

Ballet is actually really fun!
Try enrolling in strength and flexibility classes, ballet requires you to be flexible and have good technique!

Jazz doesn't require much flexibility !.!. here and there in jazz dances you'll throw in the splits or a high kick or soo!.!.
Ballet however!.!. you'll need to be able to do a nice high arabesque, and other classical positions!

when ur older you'll be able to understand the concepts!.!. better than a 4 year old! therefore you'll b able to move up higher!!

Dont b discouraged, you'll get there! Nothing is impossible!

Hope this helped

well, i took ballet at the start of 4yrs old and stopped at 8!.
I think you do have to start ballet at a young age, but if ur flexible enough u could maybe join!. i haven't had my min do ballet in a long timeWww@QuestionHome@Com

I do think ballet makes u more flexible than ballet but its ok if u dont know anything!. U will probably be put in a beginer class!. They will teach u!.
Good Luck<3Www@QuestionHome@Com

youll learn positions in ur 1st lesson and youll learn everything else in a couple of months!. your not too old to try ballet!. i started at 13 and been doing ballet for 6 months!. ballet doesnt make u more flexible than jazz it just depends on how often u streatch!.but i think ballet does make u more flexible!. but everything is easier in dance if ur more flexible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's never too late to start dancing!. Sure the younger the better, but you will learn all the positions in your first beginner class!. You could turn out to be a natural, but you will never know until you try!. In my opinion ballet does require and teaches more flexibility and technique!. Go for it and have fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is not too late!. However, yes, it is true that starting earlier does help!. I started ballet when I was 18, it was a little difficult at first, but I got used to it, I have danced forever which made it a little easier, but be warned, ballet is not easy!. But it is fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Please start ASAP and you'll do really well!. I wanted to take up ballet but never had the chance early on, but I joined a jazz group at the age of sixteen and two years on I'm doing just as well as the other girls with nine or ten years of experience, no sh*t!. Find a dance class that has beginners' lessons, it's really important to learn turn-out and stuff from someone who knows what they're doing, or you could injure yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it's not to late! ballet gets you really flexible!. I've never took jazz so i don't know!. if you want to get REALLY flexible then take gymnastics before ballet!. just two weeks can do a lot of good!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well!.!.!.
thirteen is quite a late age but i am a firm believer in the fact that if you put your mind to something then you can achieve anything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
