Guy dancers?

Question: Guy dancers!?

my studio has a serious lack of guys!. none actually!. why don't more guys dance!? i mean why wouldn't they wanna stand next 2 a bunch of girls in leotards for like an a few days a week!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think a lot of it has to do with not wanting to get made fun of!. ballet is seen as a girly thing and i don't think a lot of guys are confident enough to do it (even if they really want to) for fear of being called gay by their friends!. it's like a peer-pressure kinda thing!. but think about it: do you really want a guy to be in your ballet class just so he can stare at girls!? i highly doubt if that was his only reason for taking the class that he'd take the class seriously and actually make an effort to become a good dancer!. but i do agree with you as far as a lack of guys that dance go!. even as a hip hop dancer, i've met very few guys that dance and at my studio we have none as well!. we had two in my class last year but one quit because he hated it and the other quit because the first one did haha!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The male preferred style of dancing is widley contrasted to the female preferred style of dancing!. Take me for instance!. I'm a breakdancer, and from what I've seen!.!.!.no breakdancers wear leotards!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Chocolate Friend-Guys don't even wear leotards in ballet!. They wear t-shirts!. It's people like you that have made hip-hop as lame as it is today!. Guys who think they're too masculine to do any kind of dance that actually conveys emotion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think the reason why most guys don't dance is peer pressure!. most guys will assume a guy is gay if he dances!. even if he isn't!.
for example, there's a guy at my school who's straight, and is a REALLY good dancer, and whenever girls watch him they are amazed at how talented he is!. however when other guys see him they just assume he's gay!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
