Question: Can someone help me learn to dance!?
HELP! i was just asked to a highschool dance, i've never been to one and dont know how to dance, any tips!?
just now my girlfriend ( who goes to a different school) asked me to a black light dance at her school!. i'm a senior at my high school and i've never been to a dance because i don't know how to dance!. i really really want to go with her ( i told her yes) but i have no idea how to dance, can someone plz plz plz help me!? we've been goin out for about a month and i don't wanna blow it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, don't be nervous no matter what!. She won't be expecting you to be a super amazing professional dancer- but she will feel weird if you are just stressed and awkward!. Forget about what other people will think, or whether you will look good!. Seriously!. I have danced with guys that didn't know how to dance, and they just grooved around a little, and moved from side to side a little, and they looked fine because they weren't nervous!. I've also danced with guys that tried to do everything "right" and just looked really nervous and awkward, and they made me feel really nervous and awkward too!. Then I didn't want to dance anymore!.
Most guys can't dance!. Most people can't dance!. It's no big deal as long as you still have a good time!.
Dance in your room sometimes!. Don't think of it as "practice"- just do it because it's fun!. Dance in front of your mirror!. See what looks good and feels good- then do it more!.
Ok, I'm giving away my age, but is a blacklight dance like a rave!? I used to go to raves when I was a teenager, and believe me, people are just faking it!. They'd put on a baseball hat, put their two hands out in front, and march up on their tiptoes like a cross between a zombie and a Rockette!. Then they'd grab the bill of their hat sometimes and pull on it while waving the other hand in front!. Get some glow sticks and stick 'em between your fingers and wave your hands around!.

first!. relax!. listen to the music and feel it, just tell your girlfriend you don't know how to dance and ask her to teach you! I'm sure she would love to!.!. just feel the music and let it go! if all else fails!.!. just jump around and be crazy, if you are looking like you are having fun it doesn't matter if you are a good dancer or not but if you look nervous and are a good dancer or a bad dancer you'll just look stupid!.
