Wow thats a great idea!
It may be easier to go further back even cause there is more selection, around the 60s may be good,
hairspray is one! Its gots loads of important issues and is one of those, 'get up and dance' musicals, everyone loves it too!
and grease! a serious favourite
if not, try typing, 80s plays/musicals into google!.
