Question: Need serious help with dance/drill and flexibility please!!?
okay so this probably sounds really dumb,
but as kind of a spur of the moment thing
im wanting to try out for my highschool's dance/drill team!.
i dont have any experience really but i heard that it was okay!.
but i didnt know we needed to be really flexible,
we dont do many kicks though compared to most schools!.
my friend said she could help me learn the routine though!.
do you have any tips for getting flexible asap!?
or just for dance/drill in general would reallyyy help!

Flexibility takes time and work, and you can't really make it so that you are flexible immeadiatly, but here is the best way to work on it!.!.!.

Stretch before going to sleep, and stretch after you wake up, and any time you have time!.

all you need are a few good stretching ideas!. You could SLOWLY go into the splits for 10 seconds, and then try center, and left!. But be sure not to force yourself to far, and if you want other ways, you could put your leg up against the wall, and slowly ease as far into it as you can go!.

I'm on the dance team at our school!. We really didn't need that much flexibility, and if they really wanted us to be flexible, they had us do a stretching routine!.

do lots of stretching exercises every chance you get!. Muscles tighten when they're not fully used!. that is, they will only stretch as much as they have to - if you stretch them a lot, they will become naturally longer, allowing you much more movement in your body!.
Best to get some guidance from a gymnastic or dance teacher to get the best exercises
also, accept your friends help - she probably knows a lot more than she thinks plus learning the routine will help your flexibility

Some people are born with flexibility!.
Some other have to work hard for it,I am a dance instructor and see a lots of people without any flex!.
It takes time and a lot of practice,good luck!.

stretch every morning and every night!. stretch in the shower with warm water running (helps to loosen muscle)!.
