Question: I did not make the dance team!?

i did not make the dance team and they choose a girl who did not kow how to turn or do a toe touch and forgot the dance and just stood there!. they did not choose my friend who has been dancing since she was 5 or any other hispanic kid all the girls who made it are gueras what should i do!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't dwell on this too much!. Think about it this way: Do you really want to be on a dance team with dancers who can't dance!? I would find another dance team or company!. Check around there may be some youth companies at private studios that you can audition for!. You can try and bring this to the attention of a authority figure at your school, but in reality you can't really prove it unless they taped the auditions and this has probably been going on for a long time!. Believe me I've been where you are now and thinking about it constantly just makes it worse!. I just hope you didn't get a comment on your score sheet like I did!. (They told me I had a nice tan, mum not a tan I'm just brown, ya Spanish people tend to be brown, um ya!. I was also told that I looked better with no glasses and without my bangs!. Oh yeah there was one comment related to dance nice turns) This made me really mad because I had been dancing since I was 8 and was one of the few people who could do a triple pirouette, but it also made me realize this was not the dance team I wanted to be part of!. Tell someone at your school like the counselor or principal that you suspect racism!. If you can prove that you guys were better candidates for the team, you may just get someone fired and earn a place on the team!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Thats racist! They should not be choosing the team based on looks, they should be choosing it based on skills!. You should talk to one of your counslers or principals at school and tell them what happened!. Discriminating is against the law so you need to speak up!
