Excuses...!?

Question:I have to preform this dance on tuesday for a contest my teacher signed me up for against my will.
My teacher has so much faith in me to win this contest and i tried to tell her no but she wouldn't listen and now im stuck with this dance.

I need excuses!!!! Help please Im going sick with worry cause im afraid of dancing infront of random people.

Well, I'm with the other chick --- don't make excuses, just do it! You might surprise yourself and actually win! Besides, what's the worst that could happen.....you might not win, right? Well, you're already telling yourself that you won't, so you won't be surprised if you don't win this way! :) (Haha, a little reverse psychology right there.)
But since the purpose of your question was technically to get excuses, let's see......
Yes, the "family thing" excuse never gets old. Your teacher really can't pry. If she wants a specific reason, you can just tell her its not something you're comfortable talking about or discussing, it's too personal, etc. And she'll KNOW that she really can't force you to tell her what it specifically is.
Or, if you want to tell her a specific excuse, you could say that you just found out that a family member will be visiting for that night only, and it's someone that you haven't seen in ages and only have this one chance to see because they live abroad or something.
But personally, it sounds like you should just do the contest. If your teacher has "so much faith in you to win", then don't you think it's at least a little worth it to compete? Think about it this way --- if you do, and DON'T win, then she probably won't enter you in another contest against your will. :)

I agree with the other girls. you should do it, your teacher wouldn't have signed you up if she didn't think you could do it.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE EXCUSES!!!!! I'm guessing the reason your dance teacher signed you up for this contest is because she thinks you are a good dancer. Besides, if you're going to be a professional dancer, you're going to perform in front of random people, so you might need to get used to it. Believe in yourself, and who knows, you might actually be thankful that your teacher entered you in the contest if you win. :]
