Fouettes are VERY hard to nail, but trying the following can help you greatly!

-Spotting is essential. Honestly, I have no idea how spotting in two places could help you, because whenever you spot a point you have a tendency to want to land there. So you wouldn't land in the correct spot. But just pick one point at eye level, and as your turning don't take your eyes off of it until you can't look at it anymore, then turn your head back to your focal point. You will feel your body turning with your head.
-Having correct arms will help your fouette too! :) While in passe, your arms should be rounded a little bit above your belly button, but not very high. Open them up almost into second when you come down off the fouette and are about to start another. Then round them again.
-Practice fouettes without turning. Releve into the air and do every step in a fouette, just don't turn. This will also greatly help you find your balance.

Trust me, these are not easy to get, but you will! Also, once you get it, you will be able to remember how it feels to do them correctly, and replicate it everytime! Just practice, practice, practice!

Good luck! :D

try to keep your arms in a wider second position( but don't open your rib-cage) just barly move them into first. this ensures balance bc when you bring your arms in and rounded, you take away your balance. Good luck, i hope you do well

Fouette turns aren't easy by any means. Here are some tips I hope will help:

- Make sure to use your center and stay "lifted" when you turn.
- Spotting is one of the MOST important parts of fouette turns!! When spotting, make a conscious effort to remember to keep looking at your "spot point" (whatever you look at while you're spotting) until you can't anymore, then whip your head around and look at it again until you can't anymore...you know what I'm talking about. I think by "double spot" your teacher means that you need to only spot one point at a time and sharpen up your spot.
- Make sure that you keep your arms from "drooping", because this can cause you to lose your balance.

Good luck with your duet, and have fun!

For a good fouette, you want to make sure you keep your core strong aswell as maintain your arms. Once you've gotten the rondejombe (sp?) down you'll do fine. Oh, and don't forget to spot! Try staying focused on one spot while your turning and it'll all work out.
