Is there a ballet based on Beauty and the Beast?

Question:Someone told me there was a ballet based on the Beauty and the Beast story (the original, not necessarily Disney). I was looking for it but I was not sure what it was called or if the title was even in English. Any ideas?

There are more than a dozen known ballet versions of "La Belle et la Bete" ("Beauty and the Beast") dating back to the early 1800s.

There is a recent ballet of "Beauty and the Beast" from 1997, but I'm not sure as it counts as a classical ballet because it uses music previously written by several long-dead composers (a sort of "compilation" soundtrack). Here is some info:
