I usually just use a bit of spray and a headband to keep mine in place. My hair's long enough that it stays wound up in the bun net when it's skewered through with enough pins - usually 8 round the base and two stabbed straight through. It often comes out just a bit wavy, but even if I use a lot of hairspray it brushes out pretty easily afterwards. The only bits that really need spraying down are the wispy strands from around my hairline.

Whilst dancing, I pretty much forget that my hair's there. I think that's the idea, really.

yes you should have helmed head. use heavy gell uless the bbun is going on someone less then 5 years old

it doesnt feel normal, ill tell you that but once you get used to it, its ok.

after about an our and you take it out, it feels really weired.

My hair is long thick blond hair (very rare lol) anyways and since it is long and thick it takes a whole lot of hair spray to get it up. I dont really care if it falls out at dance no one looks super good we are working hard so idc.But for competitions I put Gel and then blow dry and then gel and blow dry and then hair spray and blow dry and then hair spray and blow dry ( gross I know) But I t has to stay in or the judges will take points off. Hope this helps. Have A Good Day =)

I personally dont have a problem with it because i dont use hairspray. When I was younger my hair was to my waist so we would have to pin it up in sections while it was wet. It would stay wet for days and the individual sections would turn in on themselves. That was a pain.

i use waater and a lot of clips and a tiny bit of hair spray
but my hair has a huge kink in it after and puffs out

Wel, I've always used a liquidy gel called "Las Pebras" (which I think is actually the same stuff that matadors use on their hair!?!). It gives your hair a nice shine, but goes rock-hard when dry.
My hair is stiff to the extent that when I press on it, it lifts up somewhere else - I think you get the picture. What I do love about it too is that it does not flake (unless you start combing it out), and the style is not destroyed easily - it bounces right back to its original position. I've never tried anything else, as I trust it so much.
And it does not do any damage whatsoever. Just disolves when you wash your hair. In fact- when I smell "Las Pebras" (it has a quite distinctive smell) I get a funny feeling and long to get to ballet class! LOL!
