Position:Home>Dancing> Dance shoes too big! :(?

Question:I'm a swing dancer and recently ordered some Aris Allen white canvas sneakers (specifically for dance) from their online store.

I went out dancing last night, and after about two dances it became obvious that I had ordered a size too big. However, now the company won't accept an exchange because the shoes have been worn!

I will probably go try to find some insoles to take up more room. Any other ideas?

You could always cut your losses and sell them on ebay, then buy yourself the right size. Or find out if anyone at your dancing place needs a pair in that size who could buy them off you.

you could put some tissue at the back or front of the shoe
or you could put your foot in an then wear the comfortables length is sew the rest up so they stay on then when your feet grow bigger you can untack them

may be u can put some tissue paper inside the part of tissue..........
this way always works for me.

Since the shoes are little use to you as is and if you don't want to go the ebay sell route, stuffing with anything, or adding insoles, why not try washing in really hot water to shrink the canvas. I have washed sneakers and canvas balllet shoes several times to clean and thighten up as they stretched. This will only thighten up the top but the length will not be affected. Good luck and keep dancing....

Along with the insoles try Heel Grippers; ther're a rubber like thing with a stickyback that sticks to the back of the shoes, I use them for charater shoes and Jazz shoes. You can get them at dance supply stores or I've even seen similar ones a target.
