Question:For anyone who understands widths, I have 4x, XXXX, and I actually wear a 2...Is there any way I can make my pointe shoes a little bit narrower? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Its hard to make them narrower because anything you put in the shoe might rub and create blisters. For now try putting mole skin inside the shoe(you can get it at CVS or rite said inthe feet section) You can try to do mutliple layers of that. Also when you wear the shoes, wet them on both sides of the box and the top(where ever they need to be narrower) and allow them to form to your foot while dancing. When you take them off let them dry out out side of your bag, the best is to put them in the oven for a little(turned off). You could also try lambs wool as a little extra padding in the shoe, you can get that at a dance store. Or mabey just wear two sets of toepads.

If your shoes are that much too wide, you should get fitted for new shoes. If you put lots of padding in there to make the shoe smaller, you won't even feel the floor. Correct shoe fitting is crucial to progressing at ballet. Get new shoes :)
