Ok well basically nothing serious unless you hurt yourself really bad. The normal things you get when starting pointe are bunions, blisters, and cuts. But only in the beginning you get more because you are just starting.
To prevent this from happening just put your feet in water after every pointe class or massge your feet.
You can also buy foot socks (My teacher calls them that) at any dance or fitness store. They rap around the ball of your foot and so0o when you are dancing it helps your feet.

Hope this helps!

This really changes from person to person, and depends on whether you wear any sort of padding (like an ouch pouch or gel pad), tape your feet, etc. However, it will definitely strengthen your feet, and you will probably see many more veins poking out than you used to. It will most likely cause blisters, on your toes, heels,or sides. Pointe may also cause you to develop bunions, or if you already have them, then it can cause your bunions to become inflamed. Everything else differs from person to person. Good luck!
P.S. pointe makes your feet hurt. A lot.

it depends on how long you've been dancing. you should probably start off with ballet, if not already. if you've been dancing a while, it migt not hurt as much as anyone new to dancing, or pointe. hope i helped !

You will get a lot of blisters on your toes, and your feet's skin will peel. Some people get bunions. I have been doing pointe for 6 months and haven't gotten any bunions, but its different for everybody. If you do pointe for a long time some peoples feet get deformed, but this is only if you have been doing it for a LONG time. Its not likely to happen unless you take care of your feet.
Here are some tips for taking care of them:
-Put your fingers in between each of your toes. Make circle movements with your hand. You will be surprised at how much the ball of your foot will be able to bend. My dance teacher told me this tip, and now I do it after every pointe class. It has helped a lot!!!
- Get therabands. You can get them at any dance store, or for a cheaper one go to http://www.discountdance.com/frame_set.p... Place the ball of your foot in the theraband and point your foot. Flex, point, and keep reapting this step.
Hope I helped!
