Is there such thing as bellet school, or dance school?

Question:I was thinking of going when i get out of high school.

How do you get it? How long do you need to be dancing for and do you need good grades in high school??

Yes there are schools that specialize in dance (performing arts). You have to have danced at a professional dance studio since you were 3-5. You would have had to have been in a competition group and gotten noticed at competition. Some girls at my studio have gotten special awards and college scholarships for performing arts school. Yes, you would also have to have decent grades because its part of being well rounded. Also you have to be a person who dances to live not lives to dance!!!

Are you talking about colleges specifically dedicated to dance? If so, there are a few (well, ones that are for performing arts, but have excellent dance programs). However, generally, to get into schools like these, you need to have an intense dance back round, and usually, a desire to go professional. One example would be Juilliard (NYC). It is on of the best arts colleges in the country. There are some regular colleges that have good dance programs, but are not specifically performing arts. However, I doubt you would be elligible to get into a school like Julliard, since I'm thinking you aren't a very serious dancer (if you were interested in dance, and planning on doing something as intense as an all dance college, you would have known about Juilliard).

yes there is there are also colleges that have a dance program. These schools require intense training in ballet normally from an early age.... you have to be pretty serious about dancing. you can also become an apprentice in a major ballet company and you will eventually join the company.

It's spelled Ballet. But if your looking for dance schools, there are many art schools, local and professional ones. You can choose strictly ballet or you can go to one that offers many classes. but if you go with ballet, you have to choose between russian, classical, modern, or contemperary ballet. it may seem like a lot, but its simple! yes ofcourse there is ballet and dance school there is lot's around you do need to be an good dancer to get in them some are stricter then others im still in high school and dance school!

yes there is such places. there is even dance schools that work after school but if your on about after you have finsihed your education there is as well. you will have to audition and it depends on how good you are. some places do care about good grades from high schools.
