Does anybody do this in Ballet?

Question:Do you actually have Character (with those heeled shoes and skirts) or Free movement in their Ballet? And does anybody do RAD or ISTD Ballet?

The answerer above is wrong.

You do Character in Grade 5 + 6. I'm not sure about Grade 7 though...But you do do Free Movement in all Grades.

I'm going to Ballet Chicago this summer, and I'll be taking character classes. I don't do RAD or ISTD because I'm trained in Balanchine technique.

when I was in i think grades 1 2 and 3 maybe even 4, i did character with the black shoes and blue skirts. free movement is also in the syllabus. But when you get to i think grade 5 6 7 and 8, there's no character or free movement. you don't do those things in istd though. x
