Question:I heard that ballet improves your turnout but I'm not sure what it means. I want to know this because I'm starting ballet in the fall. Thanks!!:)

The flexibility and rotation in your hip joints.

Turnout is the flexibility of your hip joints, allowing you to turn your legs outward, and get higher extensions, than an untrained person can do. Very important for ballet.

a turnout is if u have your feet together, point your toes outward so just ur heels r touching
