I think the poles at spencers are peekabo poles, which are dangerous and you can't do any tricks on them. The pole I have in my apt is fully removable and works on tension. you just put it under a joist and tighten it. Theres also tension poles that work off air pressure. And both are very sturdy, you can spin with your whole body far from the pole and its not gonna fall if its installed correctly. Before you buy one I would read about the different materials to choose from and whether you want a spinning or stationary pole. Some can do both settings. The different things I've seen them made out of are polished stainless--this is what I have, its very slick so you can move faster but you're also going to have to work harder to get strong enough to grip it, chrome--which is the next slickest, brass--which is alot easier to grip but harder to spin, and the colored poles which are powder coated, im not sure what they're made out of but they're the easiest to grip. This is the pole I have: http://www.hardcorepoles.com/Stainlessst...

Also, when you're measuring, don't make the mistake I did and assume and 8ft ceiling is really 8ft. I found out mine was 7'11'' and had to have someone shorten it. anyways, good luck n have fun!

i kno they sell them at spencers shop

I don't know how much you weigh, but, those poles have to be anchored into the floor and into a beam in the ceiling. You mentioned apt. You had better get permission from Landlord.
