Do you think I can make it in HOLLYWOOD?

Question:Well I'm an aspiring dancer.. in my city in texas i have danced and opened up for numerous artist both upcoming and famous...... I have been part of our college dance team... and now i want to venture out to Hollywood and try my luck at millenium complex... i truly believe this is for me but some of my family think i need to get real and find something in school to major in.... in my opinion school is always there....... I dance ballet, jazz, hip hop, belly dance, and salsa!!!!! what would you do in my situation... do you think i should pursue my dream???

I live in S. California and I can tell you that aspiring actors, models and dancers are a dime a dozen here. Hollywood is nothing but a sleazy little city with a whole lot of wannabe's .

If you decide to make the trek plan carefully the time you are going to give yourself to make it and have enough money with you to support you during that time.

Don't give up on your dreams but choose wisely how you are going to go about attaining them 'cause it's tough out here.

Go for it, but have a back up plan. Have a dependable job to fall back on, if it does not work, or if, heaven forbide you get injured and can't continue. These things can happen. Good Luck!

its hard to answer your question without any visual to it. i dont know how well you dance. you may think you dance well but you cant just ask someone what they think if they have never seen you dance. maybe adding a link to a video of you dancing on youtube.com or something would help you get some more answers to this.

Hollywood! You will be dancing in strip clubs and then making porn films like the thousands of other girls with Hollywood dreams.

I'd go to New York before I went to LA/Hollywood. New York is where the dancers go. Madonna went as a dancer and stumbled on a singing career. Of course, if anyone pays attention, Madonna is an awesome dancer.

Yeah, you can do it! Your mind is focused to your dream and you work yourway in achieving it. Just always believe in yourself and the things you can do. Also pray to God to help you reach it. Goodluck!
