Question:im thinking of talking hip hop or ballet & kickboxing... i think i could take one dance and kickboxing. dance like 3x a week and kickboxing once a week. but i dunno if i should do hip hop or ballet. and why? benefits? factors on my physique?

it sounds to me that ur talkin a class for fitness purposes...so i would say that ballet gives u more of a lean slim figure since it incorporates stretching, it will definetly define ur legs if u take pointe and make u more graceful...as for hip hop it will give u a more toned body type since it incorporates a more "energitic" for lack of a better word type of dance where it is definetly more cardio type...good luck

ballet is about strong technique, but still incorporates stretching and strengthening
hiphop is more loose, and a fun way to burn calories
kickboxing is great for cardio

ballet because that is the basis for all dance if you can't do ballet you can't do any other types of dance better

Well, ballet is good for turnout, posture, flexibility, strength and it's very classical. It would be quite a contrast to kickboxing. If I were you I'd take hip hop :) Hip hop is more loose and almost opposite to ballet.

Well, ballet is the basis of all dancing, ballet contributes greatly to all dancing even hip hop because you still need technique. You should do a couple months or even a year of bllet then hip hop as you will be better prepaired and it will benifit you more.

I recommend you take ballet. It helps your flexibility a lot
