Am I too old to become a proffesional dancer?

Question:I wanna do ballroom, tap, and ballet. Am I too old to become like really good, maybe professional? I am 13

Not at all. You are at a perfect age to begin dancing. Have fun and find out which one you like the best and then go with it. Ballroom and Ballet are the most widely done for a profession and enjoyment.

I learned to ballroom dance for fun at the age of 28 and my parents were in their 50 and now 70 dance amaturly and compete. It is a lot of fun.

Even if you don't become "professional" you will be a better person for learning how to dance.

No. There are several professional dancers who have started at the same age or older. You just have to work hard for what you want.

No....unless you mean 13 decades. You can overdo it. Take your time. Get it right. Enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, then find something else.

Truthfully... yes you are for ballet. A pro ballet dancer starts at like age two and doesn't stop until her teens where she goes into pro ballet programs and so on. But if you like it then you should take classes. Who knows. It's not impossable. You might not go pro but it could lead you into other areas of dance or other dance related jobs.

Broadway mainly has auditions for 18 year olds anyway, so you have time to work on it.=]

Also, if broadway is your aim you might want to try a Jazz, or Lyrical Jazz class. Maybe modern.

i strated dance at14 or 15 im not sure but i know it was my freshman year!
