Position:Home>Dancing> My daughter wants to take dance lessons. Where do I buy tap and ballet shoes?

Question:Are they usually offered at the dance studios? Also, how much can i expect to pay for each? She is five years old and would need a size 12, if that matters... Thanks!

Several months ago, I ordered several ballet items from Discount Dance for a little girl whose family my family sponsored for Christmas. They were very prompt about emailing me back about a sizing question I had; and order processing was very fast. Now my son is starting dance and I ordered almost everything he needs through them. They have a huge selection and their web site is great.

i used to get mine at payless.. they have dance stores around every city too. the place where she takes dance at should have shoes there too. they arent expensive.

If you want to buy tap or ballet shoes you coul d go to a dance store in Vienna or Wal Mart.

Some studios carry dance shoes and apparel - mine does. But if her's doesn't, I suggest discountdancesupply.com They have a lot to choose from and good prices. I order from them all of the time! Payless also carries dance shoes, but I have had a bad experience with each pair I got, so I don't buy from them anymore. Good luck!

Discount Dance Supplyy!! That's where everyone at my studio goes. It offers brand name at cheaper prices than other dance stores because it is kind of a chain store

www.dancedirect.co.uk -its cheap and fats and you can return things easily

you can try www.dancedirect.com or dancemove this is where i get all my shoes from

Check if the dance studio sells them first because if they do they have exactly what the dancers need. If not they may know of a dance shoppe that they would like for you to purchase the shoes at. I would ask the dance studio's director first. They could point you in the right direction. I hope that I helped you out a little. Best Wishes. Your daughter will enjoy dance.

Please avoid the ballet shoes you get at Target or Shopko or the like. They are either floppy and poorly fitting (satin ones) or the bottoms are so hard that the child cannot make them bend. The ones you get through Discount Dance or Allaboutdance.com will have leather soles that are very supple and easy to bend. Ballet shoes sold at our studio run $17. The children grow out of them before they wear out.
