you never know until you try. so i say yes.

Don't bother ballets boring

You should definately try!!

ballet requires A LOT of determination and motivation power. try it only if you really think you'll stick with it and like it.

Well, if ballet is something you really love then you should go for it. But, if its not something you're into, don't join it.

You are still young and it is good to be open to new activities so you know what you want to do in life. Ask you parents and if they consent, GO for it!

I would say yes, ballet is always beneficial; and the younger you are, the better it is. Sure at 6 years old you are having fun and thinking you are your favorite Disney Princess, but you are not really getting the discipline out of it. However at 13 years old, you would get more out of ballet, even if you start at the lowest rung on the ladder, you will get more discipline out of it and apply it to your everyday life, unlike a 6 year old (no offense to anyone). So I say go for it, it can only do you a world of good if you love it, and if you start to not like it, at least you can say that you have tried it and made up your mind that way.

like that one person said in the beginning, you never know until you try.

Yes, it's certainly worth trying! Ballet is a very technical class, most professional dancers have backgrounds in classical ballet. (I'm not talking ballerinas, I mean ballroom dancers, jazz dancers, tap dancers, etc) Ballet is kind of like the foundation work for any type of dance. If you can do ballet, taking on jazz is easy! You just change a couple of things and you've got it! It really helps with coordination, muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, personality, stage presence, and presentation. It really makes every other type of dance you learn so much easier. And it's a wonderful form of dance, I've been dancing ballet for 10 years and I love it. It has helped me become a better dancer and a better person.

You're not to old. True, you may never become a professional, but if you're serious about it, you might become a ballet teacher. And even if that's not your goal, it has it's advantages, even when you only do it for fun. Better balance, strentgh, fexibility, discipline, and so on.

Watch this video, pay special attention to what age she started at:http://youtube.com/watch?v=Z0xjoPIZem0

if it's something you would like to do then go for it! it's always good to try something new- you never know, you could absolutly love it!!

Definitely is, ballet is the basis for alot of other dance techniques.

You and your stupid questions. don't do it unless you want to. if you really want to then do it. it doesn't involve no one else's opinion that yours. Do what you really wanna do.

HECK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Good luck in your ballet,
katie m

Yes, definitely! Two of my friends just started ballet- and they're fourteen! You may feeel a bit stupid at first- wether you're dancing w/ younger kids or just behind the rest of the class, but this way it's harder to get bored and quit or develop bad habits like small kids do.

Good luck!
