For health, Yoga. It is also considerably easier to get into, and less time consuming. You can do Yoga your whole life, but most gymnasts stop gymnastics in their early 20s. Yoga is very good for releasing toxins from the muscles, and relaxing as well. I suggest you take Yoga.

Well they're very different. Yoga is very centered around the mind as well as the body, it tends to be slower paced and there are a lot of breathing and focusing exercises involved. It's very relaxing. Gymnastics is more energetic and treated more like a sport. Breathing and focusing are still important of course but there tends to be a lot more energy and fast movement involved in gymnastics. Props are also (usually) more often used in gymnastics. Really it depends on what you want to get out of it.

gymnastics is more skill. you stretch but you also do flips
yoga is more for the mind. the more appropriate comparison is yoga and pilatees and gymnastics and dance

The biggest differences are the categories they are put in.
Yoga is definitely not a sport, and is more categorized in the martial arts/health/exercise section. Some people take it as a daily routine for exercise while others live their life by it.
You can perform some amazing things in both gymnastics and yoga. Both are physically and mentally challenging and take a lot of dedication.
If you're looking into finding a fast paced sport, get incredibly fit, and have fun at the same time, I would say gymnastics.
If you're looking for exercise in a different way, or something a little more spiritual and relaxing, I would suggest Yoga.
I myself cannot choose between these two :] I love tumbling and flips, but I just can't resist Yoga's health benefits.
You should really check out gyms and yoga studios near your area. Find a teacher/school you like and stick to it.
