Question:when i look for interesting dance music.. it's doesn't happen for me.. ( i always end up with some pimpin homie gansta song or the same old squeaky techno stuff )

Personally i prefer an alternative sound and i was wondering, is it ELECTRONICA i should be looking at?

the dance scene really isn't my forte, but i'd like to get into it.

is there anything you'd reccommend for an alterno/rock chick who's looking to to 'broaden her horizons' -musically^__^

thanks SO much, i much appreciate any help!

?

check out a few dance studios, they can provide a wealth of info on dance music. see if they will let you listen to various musical styles for dance. chooseing the right music for dance is part of their business, they may clue you into cd providers for dance music with or without vocals, or tell you where you might look. it's difficult finding the right choice for dance, unless you can get a listen to at least a few tracks.

Find a dance track called sandstorm !

Magic City by 2XL feat. Cherish & UNK

electronica/techno is the way to go
look for dance music out on cd - such as 'one love' smash your stereo. or some compilation cds out with various artists.

go to amazon.com and search for B-96 CDs those are good

Try breakbeat i love it :-) xx http ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cx9GGKLdvSw&f... the singing is deep
dish :-) xxx

Not sure if its what you're looking for, but ambient electronica like Aphex Twin and Autechre are a good place to start. Try typing either of those artists into Pandora.com and see what other music it plays (free). In terms of dance/techno/trance music, DJ Tiesto is quite popular. Also DJ Sammy and DJ Encore, you might recognize some of the melodies.
