You should definitely NOT judge yourself because you are plus-sized. The myth that plus-sized girls should not be cheerleaders or dancers is just that, a stupid MYTH meant to demean girls who are a natural, healthy weight for their age. The only things that matters in cheerleading is technique and muscle. If you can gain muscle, learn the cheerleading techniques, and be able to perform them there should be no problem. One of my best friends is plus-sized, and she is undoubtedly the best dancer in her group. The reason: She always shows up with a good attitude, right steps, knowledge of the choreography, and a bright smile. If you show up with all of those aspects, the coach or director would be INSANE--or worse, stereotypical--not to pick you.
I can't say I have experience being a plus-sized girl, but several of my friends have given me tips as I write this. I don't know what your life is like, or what issues you might face in your situation, but definitely, try your best and there's nothing wrong.
The best of luck to you, and make sure you PRACTICE!
:)

cheerleading sometimes involves a lot of jumping around, being vigourous, flexible, and hot enough to make somebody drool....
but if you really... REALLY wanna bcum a cheer leader....
i think... you could make a small start by shedding some weight...
start jogging more... and walk wherever you dont need 2 drive to...
it'll be great... trust me... and you'll be the cheerleader u always wanted 2 b...
GOOD LUCK!!!

Your probably one of those girls that wear a size 5 and say your fat.. but if you arent then if you actually set your mind to it then you can do whatever you want.

If you really are plus-size than yea,
Sorry, but big girls shouldnt do cheerleading.
Because it involves flexibility, going up in the air, and having lots of energy.
So if you really wanna do it, start working out now to be ready for the next school year.

I don't think it will be hard at all. It doesn't matter how fat or skinny you are, it depends on fexlibility, stamina, confidence, and attitude. When i was on the dance team there were plus size girls and they were ALOT better at dancing then some of the skinny girls. There are some skinny girls, who althought they are skinny have no stamina what so ever and get tired after a tiny workout, but there are plus size girls who could keep on going for hours. It shouldn't matter if you are thick or thin just go out on the floor and smile and show them that you got what it takes to be a cheerleader!
