Is Irish dancing hard??

Question:I really want to do Irish Dancing, since i was 5 i've wanted to take lessons, and now i'm 18 i really want to start it now before it's too late lol but i've watched Youtube pics of Irish Dancers and they seem so good that i think i will never be like them, i know they are in shows and they have been probely been doing it from very young age, but i try copying some of their moves, it's hard lol. I'm not a very fit person anyway the only exercise i do is walking around college all day and walking my dog, so would have to do more exercise?????

Well, more exercise is always good. I don't think that being a bit less fit will stop you from learning and I imagine that the lessons will be plenty of exercise. I don't think that you would be normal if it was easy on the first try! Really, if you want to learn, you need to understand that it won't be simple and also these people have every step broken down and memorized. When you start a class they won't just give you a routine and expect you to know what to do, instead they give you the basics and teach you one step at a time. There is nothing to stop you from taking at least one class, all you need is a bit of coordination and patience. Good luck. :)
