Question:Okay - here goes.

Stand in a line. Put your arms around the shoulders of the people next to you. (traditionally the "Zorba" dance is male only. Historically if there are mixed genders doing the dance, everyone holds a hankerchief as men and women not married are not allowed to touch bare skin).

Beat 1 - Kick your left foot over your right foot and return it to it's original position.
Beat 2 - Kick your right foot in front of your left foot and return it to it's original position.
Beat 3 - Put your left foot behind your right foot
Beat 4 - Put your right foot alongside your left foot (so they are back together but slightly apart.
Beat 5 - Put your left foot in front of your right foot
Beat 6 - Put your right foot alongside your left foot (so they are back together but slightly apart.

Repeat.

The dance gets faster and is lead by the person on the right of the line. The dance usually goes in a circle.
