Question:We are all the same age and although we don't mind 80's music we love to dance all night to all kinds of music. Where can we go? We of course we don't want to go where the 20 year olds hang out nor a pick up place in the outer suburbs...

Over here in the U.K. Modern Jive ( also called ceroc or leroc) is getting huge. You have classes in Melbourne. The age range here is 18 through to 60 somethings.Once you have learnt the basics there are freestyles at which they play music all night.The music is varied from 50s through to modern pop.
I know you were looking for a girlie night out, but you dont need a dance partner for this as classes have a rotation system of partners and at the freestyles everyone mixes.
Please try it. If you love dancing you will soon become addicted.

If you're a guy - go hang with the 20 year olds. They're a lot more fun than the stuffy older broads.
