Position:Home>Dancing> How do I know which width in ballet shoes to choose?

Question:The different widths confuse me. Some of the shoes have "A, B, C, D" some have "M, W" what do all of these different letters mean exactly? How can I figure out which is best for me?

yea m and w means male and wide...cuz blank is standard women feet..are your feet wide? if so go with eitheer w or c/d
if you have average get a blank shoe or b
and if you have thin feet a......also pointe shoes are the same but they also have high arch and low arch...have fun!! ballet is awsome! i hope i helped!!

go to a shop that sells ballet shoes, leos and other dance stuff. ask someone there to help you choose and they should probly be able to tell you which one is best for you

You try on different sizes and find the one that works best for you. It sounds like you're just starting ballet, and the widths you're referring to are only on pointe shoes. You won't be wearing those for several years because they are dangerous and very difficult to dance in. You need to have very strong ankles and really good technique to go on pointe, and your teacher will tell you when you are ready.

it is the width of the shoe.. a being the narrowest and d being the widest.. if you go to a dance store they will fit you!!.. never shop online unless you know the exact size and brand!! hope i helped!! :)
