Question:Whenever I hear that song at comps; out comes the phone, in goes the iPod. I don't even bother watching, because there is ALWAYS someone that does that song! I mean its a good song; but not FOR EVERY SINGLE COMP!

My Mums first rule when it comes to solo Jazz competitions: You are never, ever doing All That Jazz.

Whenever I go to my sisters festivals there all always like 3 girls in the Jazz category who do "All That Jazz"

I love that song, and the movie from where it comes. I guess it could be overused, but I'll never tire of it. I would never go as far as making it 'illegal'.

It was nice on the Broadway stage, also when on the radio, but as you say it gets tiresome when overdone.

You can not take away a persons FREEDOM to use any song they wish. Now they must undestand there are results to any action they do. If the song uses foul words they will be judged according.
One should try to select a song that is not played a lot a comps and is so different from the run of the mill Top 50 songs. I have judged and appreciate that performers took the time to search songs that are out of the main stream. I have watched ballroom competitions and they have some of the best selections of songs. You should always be on the watch for any source that you might get a song.
