Pointe vs. modern?

Question:hi, im alex and my school has a new principal...she is making it so all kids can only have one period of dance next year, this year i have 3 periods of it!! one technique,one ballet, and one modern...i can choose what to take next year bcuz i love ballet (i am on pointe) and it really helps w/ al dance

but at the same time i only started ballet bcuz i love modern...it is so much fun and it has ore action then ballet!!
which do you think i should choose??

p.s. plz dont say which one ur better at cuz im about even at both

I think it's really fun doing modern dance [not more fun that Afro-Carribean hehe] but yeah. The bottom line is, do whatever you feel is best for you. If you have more of a passion for pointe then go for it, but if you love modern choose that one. I know it sounds cheesy, but just follow your heart :]

pointe is easier

well i have just started taking pointe this year it isn't going so well
I've also taken modern for several years and i loved it
if you like both then you are in a tough situation

as a crowd please i would have to say that modern is more appealing, but as you said pointe helps with a lot of technique and leg strength in other types of dance.

i don't know what type of program you have at your school, but why don't you ask your parents if you can take pointe in school and modern at a dance studio outside of school
